王顺治副主任医师认为:从文理上讲“火曰炎上”可译为火类物质表现为热与光的现象;从现代科学角度讲火是可燃物与氧气或空气进行的快速放热和发光的氧化反应的表现形式,以及热与光具有单向无限延伸的属性,或射线性;从传统文化和医理方面讲火有君火和相火之分,并以光能和热能的用途来区别,及在中医临床中的应用,以及五化之“长”即为辩证唯物的发展观。加之以应象思维来谈谈“火曰炎上”,单向无限延伸性是火类的物质通过热与光的现象,而反应出火之神。可以得出这样的理论:凡具有释放热能和光能属性或射线性的,即单向无限延伸性的物质,可以归属于火。

Wang Shunzhi believed that fire characterized by flaring up can be understood as fire is a phenomenon of heat and light from the literary point of view. From a modern scientific point of view,fire is the manifestation of the rapid exothermic and luminous oxidation of combustible substances with oxygen or air,and that heat and light have a unidirectional infinite extensibility or ray. From the perspective of traditional culture and medical theory fire is divided between sovereign fire and ministerial fire,and distinguishes application in traditional Chinese medicine clinic between the uses of light and heat,and growth of five variations is the concept of development of dialectical materialism. Discussion on fire characterized by flaring up with thinking method of image,unidirectional infinite extensibility is fire substance reflects the god of fire through the phenomena of heat and light. The theory can be drawn that matter which has the properties of releasing heat and light energy or ray,that is matter which has unidirectional infinite extensibility,can be vested in fire.
