The ideological and political construction of college English courses is related to ideological security and the comprehensive construction of “three integrity education” in colleges. This paper makes use of SWOT analysis method to probe into the various factors affecting the improvement of college English teachers’ ideological and political teaching ability, and actively explores the practical path to improve college English teachers’ ideological and political ability, so as to comprehensively enhance the effectiveness of college English ideological and political education.
