The Russia-Ukraine conflict is generally recognized as a turning point in the history of Europe.This conflict not only severely affects the psychological defense line and security perception of European countries,but also brings huge impacts on their politics,economy and social culture.After the outbreak of the conflict,EU and its member states stand on the same side.On the one hand,they initiate several rounds of sanctions against Russia and provide comprehensive aids to Ukraine.On the other hand,they enhance national defense construction and increase military cooperation with the US and NATO to ensure their own security.Accordingly,many changes appear in EU politics.Faced with major security threats,EU and its member states have shown unprecedented consistency,and their political choices are increasingly influenced by military and security factors and show stronger trend of geopolitical competition.In addition,the leadership and opposition within the EU have also undergone subtle changes.These changes not only result from the conflict itself,but are also closely related to the timing and characteristics of the conflict.
