在新电影史学理论的观念启迪下,借用“年鉴式”的电影史研究方法将1924年作为窥察中国早期电影发展的一个截面,并认为1924年是中国电影全面勃兴的关键之年,正是在这一年中层出不穷的电影事件推动了民族影业的初兴、电影理论的生发、民族电影类型及传统的初步确立,以及专业电影人才的培养等,深刻改变了中国早期电影的面貌,为中国电影的第一次商业浪潮及作为整体的中国早期电影发展奠定了物质、人才、理论与创作基础。

Under the inspiration of the new film history theory,1924 is taken as a cross-section of the early Chinese film development with the use of the Annales-school method of film history research.The year 1924 is considered the key year to start the prosperous Chinese film industry.It was numerous film events in this year that prompted the initial rise of national films,the growth of film theories,the initial establishment of national film genres and traditions,and the training of professional film talents,all of which profoundly changed the complexion of early Chinese films.It laid the foundation materially,talent-wise,and theory-wise,leading to the creation of the first commercial wave of Chinese film.
