《远山淡影》是2017年诺贝尔文学奖获得者、日裔英国作家石黑一雄的处女作,作者通过主人公悦子向小女儿回忆二战后逃离日本的生活经历,描写了女主人公在面临他者处境时,以自为选择来实现自我救赎的艰辛历程,表现了其女性意识的觉醒;从波伏娃存在主义女性主义视角分析作品中女性角色的性格特点和人生经历,发掘作品中女性身份的建构和主体意识的觉醒,对当今女性探寻自身生存价值具有一定的指导意义。

A Pale View of Hills is the first work of Kazuo Ishiguro, a Japanese-born British writer who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2017.In the novel, the author recalls the life experience from the perspective of Etsuko, a Japanese who escaped from Japan after World War II.Facing the situation of others, she made her own free choice and her hard journey of self-salvation showing her awakening of female consciousness.From the perspective of Beauvoir’s existentialist feminism, the author analyzes the characteristics and life experiences of female characters in the novel, and explores the construction of female identity and the awakening of female consciousness, guiding women at present to explore their own survival value.
