Congratulations on the Smart China Expo

首先,我谨就2022中国国际智能产业博览会的举办,向重庆市人民政府表示热烈祝贺。近期,我首次到访重庆,这座城市的活力和创新给我留下了深刻印象。重庆在经济上取得了巨大的发展,一向欢迎在科技、教育和文化领域的创新。此次访问成果丰硕,我十分期待未来重庆和爱尔兰开展更多合作。新冠肺炎疫情改变了我们生活的诸多方面,尤其是提高了人们使用数字设备的频率。在吸引信息通讯技术跨国公司的战略性商业活动方面,爱尔兰是一个全球科技投资首选地,充分了解培育经济和社会数字化的重要性。

I want to congratulate the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government on the hosting of this year’s Smart China Expo.Recently I have paid my first visit to Chongqing and been very impressed with the city’s vibrancy and creativity.This municipality has achieved significant economic growth and been open to scientific,technological,educational,and cultural innovation.I look forward to future collaborations between Ireland and Chongqing arising out of this very productive visit.
