《竹谱详录》编撰时间考

Investigation on the Compilation Time of the"Chu-p'u hsiang-lu"

《竹谱详录》为元代画家李衎所撰,是可考最早的竹画谱。全谱由画竹谱、墨竹谱、竹态谱、竹品谱四门构成,内容所涉广博繁富。此谱原刊本刻于元大德、延祐年间,然编撰过程始末的时间尚未明晰。而谱中在记载绘竹技法与竹类谱录的内容间也反映了李衎的交游、鉴藏、仕宦等经历,通过对其中所透露的时间信息进行考究发现,李衎早在元至元初即已开始研习墨竹并进行竹类品种的收录工作,其撰谱过程从积累、编撰到成谱付梓历时二十余年。

The“Chu-p`u hsiang-lu”was written by Li Kan,a painter in the Yuan Dynasty.It is the earliest painting book on bamboo that can be investigated.The whole book is composed of four categories,which are the book of painting bamboo,book of ink bamboo,book of bamboo shape,and book of bamboo-character.The content is extensive and rich.The original edition of this book was engraved in the Dade and Yanyou years of the Yuan Dynasty.However,the time of the exact start and end time of the compilation process still remain unclear.The bamboo painting techniques and bamboo types recorded in the book also reflect Li Kan’s experience in socializing,collecting,serving as officials,etc.Through the investigation on the time information deduced from it,it is found that Li Kan started to study ink painting on bamboo and collect bamboo varieties as early as the early Zhiyuan years of the Yuan Dynasty.The process of compiling the book from accumulation,compilation to publication had lasted for more than 20 years.
