Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)is a common metabolic disease during pregnancy,characterized by abnormal increased insulin resistance.In recent years,the incidence of GDM has increased and caused a variety of adverse pregnancy outcomes.Inositol has insulin sensitization characteristics,which can play an important role in prevention and treatment of GDM by improving insulin resistance and regulating glucose and lipid metabolism,and help to improve adverse pregnancy outcomes.It is expected to become a new safe and effective intervention for GDM.
