Summarize DU Yuanhao’s academic thoughts of the theory and rules of acupuncture and moxibustion diagnosis and treatment.He suggested that acupuncture and moxibustion theory system includes traditional theory system(classical meridian system,classical non-meridian system and classical traditional Chinese medicine system),and modern theory system[nervous system(linear contact system)and non-nervous system(nonlinear contact system)].He divided the clinical symptoms of acupuncture and moxibustion into somatopathy and splanchnopathy.Classical meridian system and multi-dimensional syndrome differentiation are taken as guiding principles respectively.It can improve the clinical efficacy.
