现代中国的思想革新,往往是从世界认知的更新和扩展开始。当前,面对“百年未有之大变局”,我们需要一种立足当下且面向未来的、实现各国平等与共同发展的全球治理新模式。因此,针对全球“边缘地带”的再认识,具有格外重要的意义。长期以来,中国人的世界认知是建基于大国中心主义历史叙事之上的。

The ideological innovation in modern China often begins with the renewal and expansion of world cognition. At present, under the great changes that have not seen in a century, we need a new global governance model based on the present and facing the future to achieve equality and common development of all countries. Therefore, it is of great significance to re-recognize the global “marginal zone”. Professor Chen Heng believes that we should maintain the diversity of the world, oppose the development of a single model, advocate and tolerate all forms of development, so as to provide a new exploration of a better world for mankind. Researcher Yu Jinyao believes that the “marginal zone” does not need to act and develop around the only “center”, but should strive to create conditions that can turn itself into one of the multiple centers. Professor Han Dongyu pointed out that the United States tried to adopt unilateralism and trade protectionism, while China vigorously promoted the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind and advocated Global trade and multilateralism. This constitutes a basic background of the current world situation. Professor Liu Debin pointed out that the changing world situation has provided a new historical opportunity for China’s theoretical innovation in international relations. Professor Meng Zhongjie believes that the current historical knowledge reserve about the “marginal zone” is increasingly insufficient, and it is urgent to improve it in a multi-pronged manner. Professor Yang Cheng pointed out that to solve the serious mismatch between the supply and demand of regional and national knowledge, we must properly update our world knowledge system, and reconstruct the concepts and methods of regional and national research according to the background of the times and the changes of China’s international status. Professor Lu Guangsheng pointed out that China can use its own political and economic strength to empower the ASEAN platform, and promote the development of the global governance system towards a more just and reasonable direction. Zhang Yongle believes that Latin America can help us understand the true nature of the world order in the historical interaction between China and Latin America.
