高考英语作文题区分度评价与启示——以某省新高考实施前后的英语考试数据为例 被引量:1

English Writing Item Discrimination Analysis and Its Implications for the Chinese College Entrance Examination(CCEE)——Using the CCEE Data from One Province as Examples

摘要 写作能力非常重要,但高考作文考试常因考生得分比较趋中在一定程度上降低了试题区分度而受到质疑。通过对某省新高考实施前后真实数据的分析,发现高考英语作文题的区分度并非不良。其中,短文改错和读后续写题型的区分度估计值为0.88左右,而书面表达和应用写作题型的区分度估计值在0.80左右。要进一步提升高考英语应用写作等题型的区分度,可以参照《中国英语能力等级量表》《中国高考评价体系》与课程标准等的要求,调整优化作文评分规则;要提高中学生英语写作水平,可以依据二语习得的“输入”和“输出”理论,加大英文名著的阅读力度,并进行模仿大师作品等读后续写训练。 Writing ability is important.Writing tests in Chinese college entrance examination(CCEE),however,are frequently questioned by the public due to poor discrimination as a result of regression towards the mean.The current study based on the CCEE data from one province,indicates that English writing item discriminations are psychometrically sound.In fact,the discrimination estimates for both error correction and reading-writing continuation items are around 0.88,while the estimates for both written expression and applied writing items are around 0.80.An effect way of improving English writing item discrimination is to rebuild scoring rubric according to the China’s Standards of English Language Ability(CSE)and China’s Gaokao Evaluation System(CGES),as well as the curriculum standards for compulsory education in China.According to the input hypothesis and output hypothesis,a convenient way of cultivating students’writing proficiency is reading more English originals and conducting more reading-writing continuation exercise.
