As a kind of strategy for regimes to develop political relations in Chinese history,Heqin(和亲)is obviously focused on the establishment and interaction of benign political relations between different ethnic regimes,no matter whether initiated by the subjective will of the regime or historical facts.From the perspective of inter-ethnic,Heqin is the adjustment of ethnic relations with political relations as center.From the perspective of inter-ethnic integration,ethnic integration from the ties of blood is the most intense presentation of Heqin,accompanied by the integration of ethnic cultures,and even of the economy.The process of“interchange”initiated by the fusion of blood has opened the prelude to deep-level ethnic interaction,and blurred the boundary between“Han”and“Hu”,which becomes the“cohesion of commonality”of the Chinese nation in the course of history,and an important dimension to reflect the“distance between Han and Hu”,“center and periphery”.Exploring the historical experience of Heqin provides a context and experience that can be used for reference for the current promotion of exchanges and integration of various ethnic groups.
