This paper summarizes the general situation and local water conditions of Liangshan Yi Prefecture, the development process of rural water supply safety guarantee in Liangshan Yi Prefecture, and elaborates on the main problems existing in the current rural water supply in terms of water supply sources, water receiving areas, operation and maintenance, etc. Then it analyses the urgency of consolidating and upgrading rural water supply safety under the new situation, and puts forward relevant measures and suggestions from the aspects of water management and protection systems, ideas for improvement, personnel training and upgrading, and investment and financing.
