英汉诗歌中花卉的隐喻跨域映射研究

On the Cross-Domain Mapping of Metaphor about Flowers in English and Chinese Poetry

隐喻是从始源域到目标域的映射,是基于身体体验的认知工具,普遍存在于人类的日常生活和语言中。由于对花卉的认知的普遍性,关于花卉的隐喻大量存在于英汉诗歌中。这些英汉诗歌的作者处于不同的生活地理环境和迥异的文化习俗中,加之各自的语言特征产生的思维差异等因素,在诗歌创作中,特别是关于花卉的隐喻的跨域映射,往往会产生异曲同工之妙。

Metaphor,which is viewed as a mapping from the source domain to the target domain,as well as a cognitive tool based on body experience,exists ubiquitously in human daily life and language.Due to the universality in the cognition of “flowers”,there is abundant metaphor of “flowers” in English and Chinese poetry.Although the authors of these English and Chinese poems live in different geographical environments with different cultural customs,and have different thinking models caused by their respective linguistic characteristics,the cross-domain mapping of metaphor about flowers in the creation of poetry ends to achieve the same wonderful effect.
