罗浮山散白蚁属的一新种(等翅目:鼻白蚁科)

A NEW SPECIES OF RETICU LITERM ES FROM LUOFUSHAN, GUANGDONG, CHINA (ISOPTERA: RHINOTERMITIDAE)

罗浮散白蚁Reticulitermes luofunicus,新种 兵蚁(图1—6,表Ⅰ—Ⅲ) 体大型,头淡黄色,上颚黑褐色,颚基、上唇、上唇基,触角堤脊黄褐色,胸部淡黄色,腹部色较淡,胸、腹各节背板均被稀长毛。 头部粗壮,两侧微弧形,头最宽位于中后部,近上颚基部最狭,后侧角宽圆,后缘圆弧出 (图1)。额峰微隆,但不高出后头背面,略有峰凹 (图2)。上颚甚粗壮,顶端内弯,左右上颚弯点位于颚内,右上颚内缘基部有齿突,外缘基部膨大。左上颚具波形齿突,颚基齿宽大,外缘基部顺斜扩大(图3)。触角16节,少数17节,节Ⅲ或节Ⅳ最短。上唇矛状尖型,长宽比约0.74,具端毛两根,多数仅见一根侧端毛,个别缺侧端毛或具两根发育不全的侧端毛(图4)。囟点黄褐色,位于额峰后凹处。后颏狭长,前部宽大,最宽为最窄三倍多,窄部两侧近似平行(图5)。

Reticulitermes luofunicus Zhu, Ma et Li, n. sp. Soldier (Figs. 1-6. Tables Ⅰ-Ⅲ.) Body large size. Head-capsule light yellow, mandibles black castaneous but paler basally, antennal segments, labrum and postclypeus yellowish brown. Thorax, abdomen light yellow and the latter lighter. Body scattered sparsely long setae. Head thick strong, subparallel on both sides, widest on the middle posterior part, the most narrow on the caulis nearly, hind lateral angle broadly rounded, posterior margin slight round (Fig. 1 .) Frontal hump slightly riser! but below the level of posterior part of head, middle part of the hurnp with .shallow eon-cavity (Fig.2). Mandibles very strong and its tip inner curved, point p of mandibles inside the outline of the mandible, right mandible with the base of the outer margin swollen (Fig.3). Antenna 16 segmented usually, sometime with 17, segment Ⅲ or Ⅳshortest. Labrum lanceolated, the ratio of width to length about 0.74, hyaline at apex and edge, with two terminal selac usually, in majority with one paraterminal setae, sometimes absent or with two development incomplete setae (Fig.4). The widest anteriority of postmentum over triple longer than the long and the most narrow middle part (Fig. 5). Thoraces notion chaetotaxy look at Fig.6. Winged adult: unknown. Comparisons: 1. This species is one of the biggest species of aculeated labrum type of Planifrontotermes (See table I.), apparently larger than P. gaoyaoensis and R. aculabialis (See table II.);2. This species is close to R. hainanensis, but differs from it is subparallel on both sides of head, the widest on the middle posterior part, colour lighter clearly;the posterior margin of pronotum concave markedly (Fig.6a). Holotype: Soldier, Luofushan, Boluo County, Guangdong Province. Host plant: Dead stub snag, 1981. V.2. collected by Zhu Jianlin (No.6541) deposited in Guangdong Institute of Entomology. Paratypes: Soldiers, workers, Ma Xingguo (NO.7052) locality and deposited place as above.
