Discourse is an essential part and a significant form of social practice.In the new context of Chinese society,the role and influence of institutional discourse can not be ignored.A Study of the Social Effect of Institutional Discourses in China’s Transformational Period focuses on the empirical study of institutional discourse in China’s transformational period.In this article,the author introduces and makes proper comments on the seven chapters of the book.It highlights the three characteristics of this book:novel and unique research perspective,solid theoretical foundation and clear theoretical framework,detailed corpus.At the same time,some suggestions for further research are put forward:using special discourse research quantitative analysis tools to quantify and analyze the real corpus in the special context.
