Foundation scouring is a common engineering disease of bridge foundation in water. This paper introduces the specific concept of bridge foundation scouring, and analyzes it action principle and influencing factors. In order to reduce the influence of scouring on bridge foundation,active protection measures and passive protection measures are commonly used in engineering. This paper focuses on the specific methods corresponding to two measures, and analyzes the specific protection principles, so as to provide references for relevant personnel.
