Exhibitions are the core product of museums. In recent years, along with the "museum fever" and "national treasure fever," China’s museum exhibitions, especially large-scale exhibitions, have shown a good development trend. However, compared with high-profile exhibitions, small and medium-sized exhibitions, which account for the absolute majority in number, neither have caught enough public attention nor have been researched and analyzed sufficiently by the circle of museology.Through a 385-square-meter exhibition hall and 20 pieces/sets of art pieces, the exhibition "Mutual Learning:Stories of the Silk Road Treasures" highlighted the topic of mutual learning and restored the grand history of communication and integration along the Silk Roads to the audience by providing a clear context and interpretation. This exhibit is a classic case of using "small places " to tell "big stories".
