美国关键语言政策下K-12中文浸入式教学发展研究

Development of K-12 Chinese Language Immersion under the Critical Language Policy in the U.S.

美国联邦“关键语言”政策始终致力于培养高端外语人才、国别区域专家和公民的全球胜任力,并通过财政资助,鼓励州和地方实施关键语言教学,推动了中文教育从校外培训到纳入国民教育体系再到高等教育的“一条龙”发展。犹他州K-12中文浸入式教学项目规模大、承续性强、参与人数多、学生成绩优、社会反响好,成为美国外语教学领域的翘楚。探究美国中文浸入式教学的发展状况,分析犹他州中文浸入式教学的成功经验,以期为促进中国基础外语教育改革,推展非通用语种行动计划提供借鉴。

Critical language policy of the U.S.federal government has always aimed at producing qualified talents of foreign languages,experts in area studies,and citizens of global competence,as well as promoting critical language teaching at the state level through financial support.As a result,Chinese as a foreign language education in the U.S.has evolved into a coordinated process that extends from off-campus training to the K-12 national education system and higher education.Having been a leader in key language teaching in the U.S.,Chinese immersion programs in Utah’s K-12 have seen sustained growth,attracting an increasing number of students.This paper explores the development status of Chinese immersion teaching in the U.S and analyzes the successful experience of Chinese immersion teaching in Utah in order to provide a reference for promoting the reform of basic foreign language education in China and the development of multilingual foreign languages.
