摘要
棒腹蜂属Rhopalomelissa Alfken为彩带蜂亚科Nominae的一个属,全世界已记述约三十种。本属广布于亚州东部及东南部;大洋洲的新西兰、新几内亚及澳大利亚北部;欧洲及非洲均有分布。本属主要特征为:体小型,10毫米左右,黑色或黑色间有红色;唇舌短;翅基片正常;翅痣大;前胸领片状,腹部背板端缘具毛带;雌性后足胫节具毛刷、内距中部加宽,后足胫基板不完整,腹部第2—4节腹板端缘具长而弯的毛.
The present paper deals with 10 species of Rhopalomelissa of China,among which 3 species arc new to science,male of 5 species(R.floralis(Sm.),R.mediorufa(Ckll.),R.burmica(Ckll.),R,levicauda(Ckll.),R.elongata(Fr.)are further described.All the type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology,Academia Sinica.According to the combination of characters of 10 species,they can be divided into 3 subgenus:Tropirhopalomelissa,Trichorhopalomelissa,Lepidorhopa-lomelissa.1(2)Vertex carinate posteriorly;central part of 5th abdominal sternite of male with a pair of tubercles,apical margin with a pair of tooth-like processes(fig.2)Tropirhopalomelissa subgen.nov.Type species:Rhopalomelissa nigra Wu 2(1)Vertex not carinate posteriorly 3(4)4th abdominal sternite covered with rather long and sparse hairs,5th sternite covered with erect,short,dense and well arranged hairs or tufts(fig.1)Trichorhopalomelissa subgen.nov.Type speciesi Rhopalomelissa hainanensis Wu 4(3)The lateral side of central part of 4th abdominal sternite with lamella-like plate,between them with a deep concaves the center of apical part of 5th sternite with a pair of tubercles,the tubercles decorated with 2-4 setae(fig.5)Lepidorhopalomelissa subgen.nov.Type species:Rhoaplmelissa burmica Ckll.Rhopalomelissa floralis(Sm.),R.mediorufa(Ckll.),R.esakii Hirash-ima belong to the subgenus Tropirhopalomelissa.R.yasumatsui Hiroshima R,levicauda(Ckll.),R.elongata(Fr.),R.zeae Wu belong to Trichorhopalomelissa.R.burmica(Ckll.)belongs to Lepidorhopalomelissa.According to the,literatures,it seems probable R.elongatula(Ckll.)belongs to Lepidorhopalomelissa,R.morata(Ckll.)belongs to Tropirhopalomelissa,R.palavanica(Ckll.)belongs to Trichorhopalomelissa.1.Rhopalomelissa(Trichorhopalomelissa)hainanensis sp.nov.(fig.1)Length 9-10mm,9mm.Closely related to R.levicauda(Ckll.)but differs from latter by.abdomen black;punctures on 1st abdominal tergite coarse and dense;prothorax,metathorax and the apical margin of lst-4th abdominal tergites densely covered with yellow hairs;face,mesothrax and pleural,legs with sparse yellow hairs;outer surface of basal half of hind tibiar with a few black hairs.Holotype.Guangdong,Hainan,Tongshi,34 OM,23.Ⅳ.1960,Li Chang-quing.Allotyp as holotype,4.Ⅷ.1960,Li Suo-fu.Paratype 9,6,Hainan;,Guangxi,Yang Shuo.2.Rhopalomelissa(Trichorhopalomelissa zeae sp.nov.Length 7-9 mm.Closely allied to R.hainanensis Wu,but easily separate by punctures on 1st abdominal tergite sparse and irregular,apical margin smooth,punctures on 2nd abdominal tergite small and dense;ocello-oculae distance 3 times longer than ocellae to apical margin of vertex.Holotype,Hunan,Ⅰ-chang,29.X.1974,Wang Shuyong.Paratype 14.as holotype.3.Rhopalomelissa(Tropirhopalomelissa)nigra sp.nov.(fig.2)Length 8-9mm,6-8mm.Similar to R.esakii Hirashima,bnt lst-2nd abdominal tergites black,not red;postocellae distance equal to the distance from postocellae to the margin of vertex,but shorter than the ocello-ocular distance.Holotype,Yunnan,Xishuanbanna,Mengzhc,13.Ⅳ.1958,Wang shu-yong.Allotype,as holotype.Paratype 8,9,Yunnan,Xishuanbanna;Sichuan,Nanchong,1;Guizhou,Guiyang,1.4.Rhopalomelissa(Tropirhopalomelissa)f loralls(Sm.)(fig.3)(new description)Length 8-9mm.1st abdominal tergite longer than its wide;1st-3rd abdominal tergites red,but the central part of 3rd tergite with a transverse obscure black band.
