摘要
传统的英语专业文化通识类课程通常会局限于其对西方文化内容的完全依仗,以西方文化的输入为课程立足及课程目标,课程内容完全来源于并落脚于外来文化内容。本文将以实际课程为案例,阐释如何在英语专业西方文化类通识课程中做到注重中西文化内容的平衡与结合,避免单向倚重西方及外来文化;注重批判性的内容输入,突出“解读”的批判性与客观性,避免对外来文化的被动接受。通过主题式教学,多媒介资源融入与实践调研环节的引入等思政融入创新模式,让课程立足于中国文化体验与需求,让学生在西方文化学习过程中择善而从,并最终回归讲好中国故事的初衷。
Traditionally, western culture courses for the English major always relies completely on the introduction of western cultural materials. This paper would take a specific course as an example to show how to balance Chinese and western cultural materials in western culture courses for the English major: to avoid complete reliance on the Western cultural heritage, to critically examine the western ideas and to avoid passive acceptance of it. Through thematic approaches, multi-media materials and sections for research and report, the course would be an innovative example to introduce core values into class. It will start from a Chinese perspective, critically absorb the beneficial from the western, and finally trace back to the original intention to well broadcast the Chinese culture.
