元明时期北京海淀附近的地理环境——兼论“海淀”之得名

The Geographical Environment of Beijing Haidian in Yuan and Ming Dynasty: On the Naming of “Haidian”

以往的研究中,一般认为元明时期北京海淀附近存在名为“海淀”的较大湖泊,此后这一湖泊名称转化为附近聚落的名称。通过对相关文献进一步研究,可以看出明万历以前海淀聚落附近并不存在较大的湖泊,当时的记载也多作“海店”,未出现“海淀”这一写法。因此,海淀聚落最早的名称应作“海店”。万历以后,文人们才使用了“海淀”这一名称,并逐渐取代了最初的名称“海店”,“海淀”成了约定俗成的法定地名。

In past researches,scholars usually consider that there was a large lake named Haidian(海淀)in Yuan and Ming Dynasty,then the settlement beside the Haidian Lake got the same name.After more researches,we can see that there did not exist large lakes in the area around Haidian settlement.In books of Yuan and Ming Dynasty,the settlement was usually named Haidian(海店).So we can conclude that Haidian(海店)was the original name of Haidian settlement.After the Wanli(万历)era,scholars changed the name to Haidian(海淀),then Haidian(海淀)became the common name of Haidian settlement.
