生态翻译学视域下《习近平谈治国理政》英译的适应与选择

On the Adaptation and Selection of the English Translation of Xi Jinping:The Governance of China from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology

以翻译适应选择论为理论框架,从生态翻译学视角对《习近平谈治国理政》(一至三卷)的英译过程进行考察和解读,阐明高质量译文产生的条件,并全面分析译者采取的翻译策略。研究认为:《习近平谈治国理政》(一至三卷)英译的成功是译者对翻译能力及翻译生态环境的不同层面多维度选择性适应,继而在英译时对语言、文化和交际三个维度进行适应性选择的结果。译者策略性地运用直译、意译、增译、套译、略译等多种翻译手段,努力维持原语生态和译语生态的平衡和谐,力求达到最佳翻译效果,为外宣翻译提供了重要参考。

Using the theory of“Translation as Adaptation and Selection”as a theoretical framework,the paper examines and interprets the translation process of Xi Jinping:The Governance of China(Volume I-III)from the perspective of Eco-Translatology in order to clarify the conditions for producing high-quality translation,and comprehensively analyzes the translator′s translation strategies.It is pointed out that the success of the English translation is the result of the translator′s adaptation to translation ability and various factors of translation ecological environment,and also the translator′s adaptive selections in the linguistic,cultural and communicative dimensions.A variety of translation means,such as literal translation,free translation,idiomatic translation,amplification and omission are strategically used to maintain the balance between the ecology of the source language and that of the target language,and to achieve the best translation effect,which provides a strong reference for the publicity translation.
