Aesthetic Engagement of City,Architecture,Landscape and Human Beings——On Arnold Berleant’s Human Environments Aesthetics

美国当代著名的环境美学家阿诺德·伯林特,以其深厚的学术功底和开拓的学术视野在美学、环境美学等研究领域建树颇丰。伯林特进行环境美学建构时,尤其强调对城市环境、建筑环境、景观环境和园林环境等方面内孕的人建质性进行阐述。伯林特指出环境具有整体性、连续性和身体参与性,它们都是人建造而成的环境创造物,与环境、场所、历史相互交融。城市作为生态环境系统的典型呈现,对其建设要充分考虑其中人的审美体验、审美融合需要,人与环境的一体化就是人建环境美学的根基。伯林特对人建环境美学的研究,实质性地拓宽了环境这个概念的范畴边界,也给环境美学研究视域及其特性带来了转变。

As a famous contemporary American environmental aesthetician,Arnold Berleant has made great achievements in aesthetics and environmental aesthetics.In his theories,Berleant emphasizes the inherent human constructiveness in urban environment,architectural and landscape environment and garden environment.He points out that our urban environment is the creation of humans and it is in harmony with the surroundings and culture.Cities,as an eco-environmental system,have to fully consider the factors of aesthetic experience and aesthetic integration in its construction since the integration of man and environment is the foundation of man-made environmental aesthetics.Berleant’s research on environmental aesthetics not only helps to improve the relationship between man and urban environment,but also substantially widens the the category of environment,which has changed the traditional research of environmental aesthetics.
