Urban planning is an important guarantee for the development of a city and the development goal of a city in a certain period of time.The large-scale and multi-dimensional characteristics of the data make the traditional urban planning method difficult to bear this task.At the same time,smart city and information construction continue to develop rapidly,and big data visualization has been widely used in the practice and research of urban planning industry.First,it highlights the necessity and applicability of big data visualization for urban planning.Secondly,through examples,we can see that the quality and efficiency of urban planning scheme based on big data visualization have been significantly improved.Finally,the future development direction and challenges of big data visualization are discussed.
