自贸试验区与经济增长——基于中国城市面板数据的实证分析

Pilot free trade zones and economic growth——An empirical analysis based on panel data of Chinese cities

基于2006~2019年中国城市面板数据和多期双重差分法,研究了自贸试验区对城市经济增长的影响。研究发现,设立自贸试验区显著促进了城市经济增长。设立自贸试验区对城市经济增长的影响也表现出一些独有的特征:自贸试验区的设立对城市经济增长的促进作用主要体现在第三产业上,对第二产业没有产生显著的促进作用。

This paper uses Chinese city-level panel data from 2006 to 2019 and multi-period DID(difference in differences)method to study the impact of pilot free trade zones on city’s economic growth.The study finds that the establishment of pilot free trade zones significantly promotes economic growth.The impact of the establishment of pilot free trade zones on the city’s economic growth also shows some unique characteristics that the establishment of pilot free trade zones can promote the city’s economic growth mainly in the tertiary industry,and has no significant effect on the secondary industry.
