摘要
《大雅·烝民》“衮职有阙”之“衮职”传统说法均理解为王之职责,但晚近很多说《诗》及训诂学名家对“职”往往不以本字读,而是破读为“识”,理解为“适”或“章识”之“识”。本文从《诗》《书》及金文等早期材料中“职”的训诂入手,认为早期文献中表“职责”义的“职”是早就存在的,故“衮职”理解为“王职”确有理据,将“职”破读为“识”则实不可从。
"Gun zhi(衮职)"in"gun zhi you que(衮职有阙)"of Zheng Min(烝民)Poem is traditionally understood to be the responsibility of the king,but many scholars often do not read"zhi(职)"in its original meaning.Instead,they read it as"shi(适)"or"zhi(识)".This paper holds that"zhi(职)"expressing the meaning of uduties"in early documents has long existed,so there is a reasonable basis for the understanding of"gun zhi(衮职)"as the responsibility of the king,but the interpretation of"shi(适)"or"zhi(识)"is incorrect.
