Research on 5G NR Broadcast Network Planning

面对广播电视移动化、交互化的需求,在运营商、研究机构、设备厂商等的推动下,3GPP组织在Release17版本开展了基于新空口(NR,New Radio)的5G多播/广播服务研究和相关标准化,成为广播电视走向终端通、人人通的重要可选路径之一。本文跟踪5G NR多播广播技术,通过对5G NR广播外场试验网数据的分析,得出不同业务对应的规划指标,提出5G NR广播网络规划思路与流程,并与试验网开展了理论、仿真建模对比,验证了方法的科学、合理性,为5G NR广播网络规划提供方法、技术和指标等参考。

Facing the needs of mobilization and interaction of radio and television,3GPP has launched 5G multicast/broadcast services based on new radio(NR)in Release 17 driven by operators,research institutions,equipment manufacturers,etc.It has become one of the important optional paths for radio and television to reach to mobilephone.This paper tracks 5G NR multicast/broadcast technology,analyzes the planning indicators corresponding to different services by analyzing the data of 5G NR broadcast test network,and puts forward the planning ideas and processes of 5G NR broadcast network.The comparison of theory and simulation modeling verifies the scientific and rationality of the method.It provides methods,technologies and indicators for the planning of 5G NR broadcast network.
