In the past ten years, while the development of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities has made remarkable achievements, there are also some practical problems.A special online questionnaire survey was carried out for university administrators. The survey results show that the main obstacles to the prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences in universities from the perspective of administrators are the lag of talent team construction, the unreasonable evaluation mechanism, and the unimpeded transformation of achievements.Factors such as the nature and type of colleges and universities, subject areas, administrative positions, titles, and age, etc.,will make their cognitive differences in the prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities. The prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities should be started from the following aspects:strengthening the management and service organizations, intensifying the introduction and cultivation of philosophical and social science talents in colleges and universities, deepening the reform of the evaluation mechanism of scientific research achievements in philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities, and promoting the effective transformation of scientific research achievements in philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities.
