An introduction was made on the design of upper head metal work for No.1 ship lock of Changzhou Hydraulic Complex, including the types, design schemes, gate slots and calculation results of bulkhead gate and service gate etc. Relevant parameters of hoist were collected and the design parameters were rechecked. The design characteristics were also summarized and analyzed.
