A Study of the Indian Lute on the Silk Road

关于丝绸之路上的印度琵琶历史,国内还没有专门的研究,虽然有一些文章提到印度琵琶,但是缺乏系统的介绍与研究。特别是有关五弦琵琶的历史,过去都认为是发源于印度,实际上美索不达米亚才是长颈直项琵琶的发源地。传入希腊后形成一种叫pantur的梨形棒状直项琵琶。随着古希腊音乐文化与印度音乐文化的融合,五弦琵琶才在pantur的基础上完成。

Although a few articles mention the Indian lute,systematic and detailed research on the history of the Indian lute on the Silk Road in Chinese is lacking in academia.In particular,the fivestringed lute was deemed to have originated in India,but not Mesopotamia,which is the birthplace of the long,straight-neck lute.This pear-shaped,straight-neck lute,called the pantur,was introducedin Greece.The five-stringed lute was developed along with the invasion of the ancient Greek musical culture into India.
