This paper describes the background,necessity,content and application in the design process of intelligent system reference architecture introduced in the Intelligent Building Design and Evaluation Standard which is waiting to be released.The reference architecture for intelligent systems defines the components of intelligent systems and the relationships among them.It provides relevant personnel with their own architectural perspectives,common vocabulary,and the basis for architecture design.The introduction of the reference architecture will promote,facilitate,and assist the industry to understand the nature of the relationship between the business and the architecture carried by the intelligent system,as well as its collaborative development and future evolution.
