There is little research on Rebecca Walker and her works in the academic field of China, although Rebecca Walker is an influential figure in the United States. Based on the American multicultural background, identity theory and "the other" theory, this article starts with the three kinds of identity confusion of the protagonists in Rebecca Walker′s autobiographical novels, and analyzes the causes of the protagonists′ confusion, the arduous process of identity seeking, and the construction of the ultimate black identity. The research results can not only enable readers to better understand the real survival situation of multi-ethnic identity groups under the multicultural background of the United States, but also understand the positive impact of American multiculturalism on the identity construction of mixed-race groups, while providing reference for the identity positioning of groups living in the multicultural context, the establishment of world outlook and outlook on life, and the integration of different races.
