This paper analyzes the main ways of public libraries in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,expounds the problems and shortcomings of public libraries in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,and puts forward the methods and paths of public libraries in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,such as strengthening the excavation and arrangement of intangible cultural heritage resources,establishing and improving intangible cultural heritage digital resources,creating a local and systematic curriculum of intangible cultural heritage,insisting on equal emphasis on skill display and cultural popularization,and giving full play to the independent role of libraries.
