“钢铁院士”崔崑:一生大爱显情怀

CUI Kun, “Academician of Iron and Steel”: A Lifetime of Great Love Shows Compassion

他,一件衬衣、夹克穿了30年,却累计捐款助学超过1000万元。他,65年党龄、73年教龄,被誉为“钢铁院士”,却一直住在学校分配的院士楼内。他,就是第八届全国道德模范、华中科技大学教授、中国工程院院士崔崑。他说:“作为一名老党员、老教师,‘勤奋报国’是我一生都在践行的使命。这不是捐,而是还。国家培养了我,我理应用行动去帮助更多人。”

CUI Kun spends almost everything he has to help others,but is very thrifty when it comes to spending money on himself.For many years,he and his wife ZHU Huinan have been living in the building for academicians of the university.He and his wife have been donating their salaries,bonuses,subsidies,and scientfic research achievement awards to charity.
