Influence of CEO Family-to-Work Enrichment on Corporate Entrepreneurship Orientation

在“大众创业、万众创新”的背景下,企业创业导向的研究受到学术界广泛关注。已有研究探讨了CEO人格特质与工作领域相关因素对企业创业导向的影响,但鲜少关注家庭领域的影响。鉴于“家”文化在中国情境下的重要作用,有必要进一步探讨CEO家庭经历对企业创业导向的影响。基于133家成长型企业调研数据的实证结果表明,CEO家庭—工作充实对企业创业导向具有促进作用;在企业绩效与需求不确定性较高的情境下,CEO家庭—工作充实对企业创业导向的影响将更加显著。通过引入资源保存理论,本文深入剖析了CEO家庭—工作充实对企业创业导向的作用机制,进一步拓展了高阶理论视角下企业创业导向的前因研究,为激发和促进企业的创业导向提供了重要的理论和实践启发。

In the context of“mass entrepreneurship and innovation”,the research of corporate entrepreneurship orientation has gained more and more interest from scholars.Prior studies have explored the influence of CEO personality traits and factors related to work domain on corporate entrepreneurship orientation,while the influence of other factors such as family domain has obtained little attention.Given the important role that“family”culture plays in the Chinese context,it is necessary to further explore the impact of CEO family experience on corporate entrepreneurship orientation.Based on the survey data of 133 growing firms,the empirical results show that CEO family-to-work enrichment plays an important role in promoting corporate entrepreneurship orientation;specifically,the positive effect is enhanced when firm performance or demand uncertainty is high.Through introducing the resource conservation theory,it deeply analyzes the mechanism of CEO family-to-work enrichment on corporate entrepreneurship orientation,expanding the research on the antecedents of corporate entrepreneurship orientation from the perspective of upper echelons theory,thus providing important theoretical and practical inspiration for promoting entrepreneurship orientation activities.
