通过对工作流管理系统的发展和应用市场的变化的描述 ,揭示了工作流管理系统对未来信息管理系统的影响 ;并根据对当前工作流管理系统发展状况的分析 ,总结出了在流程建模和系统总结方面的不足 ,对工作流管理系统的未来发展趋势从流程建模和实施环境这两方面进行了总结与预测 ;提出了MfMS和CSCW的关系是相互联系、相互独立、相互补充的新看法 .

Workflow management is known as the 'logistics' of information systems. It can arrange suitable people or software to perform right tasks at right time, and automate business processes. In this paper, we elaborate the development history of the workflow management and the change of the application market, and show its strong impact on future information system. Through analyzing current workflow management system, we generalize two deficiencies in workflow modeling and the system architecture of current WfMS and predict the development trend of the two main aspects of workflow management .And we clarify the relationship of the workflow management system with the CSCW.
