摘要
以合法化语码理论中的专门性语码为理论基础,采用定性定量相结合的研究方法,探究了翻译理论的适用性问题。分析得出,翻译理论整体呈现出的知识语码在很高程度上聚焦了认知关系,即翻译学科的知识内容、技巧以及与其他学科知识的交叉;翻译实践则呈现出精英语码,译者需要同时考虑与翻译知识相关的认知关系和与译者相关的社会关系。翻译理论和实践二者产生了语码冲突,在一定程度上解释了翻译理论适用性不足这类问题。据此,从翻译学科的发展出发,对翻译理论研究和翻译教学实践两方面提出了相应的改进策略和建议。
From the perspective of specialization codes in Legitimation Code Theory(LCT)and through a methodological mix of quantitative and qualitative analysis,this paper investigates the applicability of translation theories.It has been found that translation theories are generally characterized by knowledge code while translation practice is characterized byélite code.Thus,a code clash arises,which to a large extent explains the statement of inapplicability of translation theories.Based on the analysis,several suggestions are put forward for further development of translation theories and translator education.
