The stamping problem of the engine hood outer plate and its demand and influence on the model were introduced, by expounding the springback problem of the aluminum engine hood outer plate in the modeling stage and analyzing the causes of the springback problem, the main influencing factors of the springback were illustrated from the product modeling and process, and the free springback state and the restrained springback state were compared, and the solution include using full-circumferential pressure flanging and optimizing the curvature radius and ridgeline of the hood outer plate was put forward.
