中医典籍英译教学浅谈

A Brief Account of English Translation Teaching of Traditional Chinese Medical Classics

中医秉持整体观念,强调辨证论治,讲求天地自然,重视形神兼治。中医医药体系,发源于绚丽多彩的东方哲学,根植于源远流长的民族文化,是唯一兼具完整的理论体系和丰富的实践经验的传统医药系统。中医翻译是中医药国际交流合作和扩大世界影响力的关键,中医翻译教学是中医卓越人才培养和中医药对外传播的重要一环。然而中医典籍英译教学现状不容乐观,重翻译结果轻翻译过程,重表层对应轻深层挖掘,重语言差异轻文化背景。中医典籍英译教学以功能主义翻译理论为基础,以学生和社会需求为导向,提高中医典籍英译的文化连续性,提升学生的中医英译的实操能力和翻译素养。中医典籍英译教学把握中医典籍英译问题,挖掘和诠释中医典籍文化背景,分析中医典籍英译原则,阐述中医典籍英译过程,并提出中医典籍英译能力培养策略。

Traditional Chinese medicine adheres to the concept of integrity,emphasizes syndrome differentiation and treatment,stresses the nature of heaven and earth,and attaches importance to the treatment of both body and spirit.Chinese medicine system,originated from the colorful Oriental philosophy and rooted in the long-standing national culture,is the only traditional medicine system with complete theoretical system and rich practical experience.Traditional Chinese medicine translation is the key to the international exchange and cooperation of traditional Chinese medicine and the expansion of its influence in the world.The teaching of traditional Chinese medicine translation is a significant part of the cultivation of outstanding talents of traditional Chinese medicine and the external communication of traditional Chinese medicine.However,the current situation of English translation teaching of TCM classics is not optimistic.It pays more attention to translation results than translation process,superficial correspondence than deep excavation,language differences than cultural background.Based on the functionalist translation theory and guided by the needs of students and society,English translation teaching of TCM classics can improve the cultural continuity of English translation of TCM classics as well as enhance the practical ability and translation accomplishment of students.The teaching of Chinese medicine classics translation grasps the problem of Chinese classics translation,explores and interprets the cultural background of Chinese classics,analyzes the principles of Chinese medicine classics translation,elaborates its translation process and puts forward its translation strategies.
