In order to understand the current situation of after-school service in primary and secondary schools in ethnic minority areas in Sichuan Province during the implementation of the"double reduction"policy, the persons in charge of the education bureaus of all 51 minority counties(cities)in Sichuan Province were consulted. An on-the-spot investigation was conducted in Xichang City,Dechang County,Butuo County,Zhaojue County and Yuexi County in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. The project team found that there is still a gap between the after-school service quality of primary and secondary schools and the expectations of parents and students, there is a lack of overall planning of regional afterschool service resources, and the overall guarantee mechanism of after-school service funds for primary and secondary schools has not been established.Countermeasures are put forward, including strengthening the after-school service quality management of primary and secondary schools in ethnic minority areas, enhancing the overall planning of regional after-school service resources, and establishing the overall guarantee mechanism of after-school service funds in regional primary and secondary schools.
