Liquid feed refers to the stable state of feed formed by fermentation or non-fermentation after mixing dry feed with water or some by-product of liquid food industry in a certain proportion. Liquid feeding mode has been widely used in some countries of Northern Europe. Liquid feed can not only reduce feed cost, but also improve dry matter intake, increase growth rate and improve intestinal health. Therefore, in recent years, liquid feeding has returned to the domestic pig industry. In this manuscript, the types, feeding system and application of liquid feed were summarized, its advantages and disadvantages were also reviewed in order to provide theoretical reference for the application of liquid feed in pig production.
