中国国家博物馆的文物保护工作,始于1912年国立历史博物馆筹备处的成立。包括中国传统青铜器修复和复制、中国书画装裱修复和临摹、金石传拓、古籍修复和文献复制在内的多项技艺在此得到了很好地传承与发展。多年来,中国国家博物馆利用自身技术与藏品优势,参与重大工程项目,开展国际合作交流,完成了馆内外大量珍贵文物的保护修复工作,并为全国各地文博单位提供有力支持。中国国家博物馆的文物保护工作以“开放合作、互利共赢”为理念,与国内外众多文博机构、科研院所和高校建立战略合作关系,联合开展多层次的文物保护学术研究。展望未来,中国国家博物馆的文物保护工作必将紧跟国家的需要、人民的需要和时代的需要,取得更大进步。

The cultural heritage conservation work of the National Museum of China(NMC)started in 1912 with the establishment of the Preparatory Office of the National Museum of History.A number of skills had been well inherited and developed here, including the restoration and reproduction of Chinese bronzes, the mounting, restoration and copying of Chinese painting and calligraphy, the rubbing of gold and stone, the restoration of ancient books and the reproduction of documents. Over the years, with its technical and collection advantages, the NMC has participated in major research projects, carried out international cooperation and exchanges, completed the conservation and restoration of a large number of precious cultural relics of the NMC and other museums, and provided strong nationwide support for museums and cultural units. The cultural heritage conservation work of the NMC insists the concept of "opening up, cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win", and has established strategic partnerships with many domestic and foreign cultural institutions, research institutes and universities, carried out joint research on cultural heritage conservation at many levels. In its prospective undertaking, the NMC cultural heritage conservation work will keep concentrating on the needs of the country, the people and the times, and make a greater progress.
