A New Model for Human Advancement and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

文明由人类物质生活实践创造,依赖于社会形态存在,构成文明形态,其演进是一元多线的。资本主义社会形态开启了现代社会,有进步意义但蕴含内在矛盾。马克思恩格斯提出了共产主义的新社会形态,苏联共产党建立了首个社会主义国家但逐步后退为资本主义。中国共产党基于马克思主义理论,吸取社会主义实践的经验教训,创造了中国特色社会主义,是扬弃西方资本主义的新社会形态,即“人类文明新形态”,其经济基础的一般规定包括坚持加强党对经济工作的集中统一领导、以人民为中心的发展思想、中国特色社会主义基本经济制度、构建人类命运共同体和稳中求进方法论。“人类文明新形态”是习近平对马克思主义政治经济学的原创性贡献。

A civilization is created by the human activities and depends on a certain social formation.Different people in different societies may create different civilizations.Modern capitalist society is progressive in certain ways, yet it has many problems.Communism is a new social formation supposed to replace capitalism.Based on Marxist theories on political economy, the Communist Party of China has created the socialism with Chinese characteristics called “a new model for human advancement.” This new form of civilization upholds the Party’s centralized, unified leadership over economic work, adheres to the people-centered development philosophy, promotes the basic economic system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, proposes to build a community with a shared future for mankind and insists on the principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability.“A new model for human advancement” is Xi Jinping’s original contribution to Marxist political economy.
