How family support correlates life satisfaction among migrant population: The mediating role of social participation and social integration

目的:研究家庭支持对流动人口生活满意度的影响,并探讨了社会参与和社会融合在其中的作用机制,为提高流动人口生活满意度提供依据。方法:采用分层、多阶段、与规模成比例的抽样方法,对湖北省十堰市的流动人口进行入户问卷调查(n=1407),使用结构方程模型剖析家庭支持对流动人口生活满意度的影响以及社会参与和社会融合的中介作用。结果:家庭支持可以显著增强流动人口的生活满意度(β=0.266,95%CI:0.196,0.317),社会参与和社会融合在其中发挥部分中介作用,总间接效应为0.049(95%CI:0.031,0.070),占总效应的18.42%。结论:提升家庭支持对增强流动人口的生活满意度至关重要,同时应关注流动人口的社会参与和社会融合。

Objective:To explore the association between family support and life satisfaction among migrant population, and identify mechanism of social participation and social integration in it, to provide evidence in improving life satisfaction of migrant population.Methods:Using stratified, multi-stage, and scale-proportional sampling methods, this survey was conducted among migrant population in Shiyan City, Hubei Province(n=1407).Structural equation model was used to analyze the mediating role of the social participation and social integration in the relationship between family support and life satisfaction among migrant population.Results:Family support significantly enhanced life satisfaction of migrant population(β=0.266,95%CI:0.196,0.317).Social participation and social integration partially mediated the effect of family support on life satisfaction.The total indirect effect was 0.049(95%CI:0.031,0.070),accounting for 18.42% of total effect.Conclusion:Enhancing family support is crucial to improve life satisfaction of migrant population, attention should also be paid to social participation and social integration.
