山东日照市马庄遗址周代墓葬发掘简报

Brief Excavation Report on the Tombs of the Western Zhou Dynasty at Mazhuang Site in Rizhao, Shandong Province

1994—1995年,中国社会科学院考古研究所山东队联合莒州博物馆在日照市马庄遗址清理了一批周代小型墓葬,年代属西周晚期至春秋中期,均为土坑竖穴墓,随葬品主要为鬲、罐、豆、器盖等陶器以及少量铜器、原始瓷器。该墓地的发掘为鲁东南地区周代考古学文化的研究提供了重要材料。

From 1994 to 1995, archaeologists from Institute of Archaeology CASS and Juzhou Museum excavated a number of small-sized tombs of Zhou Dynasty, dating to late Western Zhou to the mid Spring and Autumn Period, at Mazhuang Site in Rizhao City. The tombs were all earthen-pit tombs, with the funeral objects of Li, pot, dou, cover and other pottery, as well as a small amount of copper wares and primitive porcelains. The excavation provided important materials to study the archaeological culture in Southeastern Shandong during Zhou Dynasty.
