摘要
本研究从生态语言学视角对中美气候变化新闻语篇中的概念隐喻进行对比分析,旨在探讨概念隐喻折射出的生态取向和生态理念,从而推进语言的生态化。结果发现:1)中美新闻语篇中的概念隐喻类型既有共性,也有不同;2)中美新闻语篇中的概念隐喻均呈现有益性、模糊性和破坏性的生态取向;3)中美新闻语篇中的概念隐喻分别凸显“人与自然和谐共生”和“美国优先”的生态理念,差异的形成受经济与文化因素、社会与政治因素以及生态哲学理念的影响和制约。
This study intends to compare the conceptual metaphors in Chinese and American news discourses on climate change from the ecolinguistic perspective,with the aim of revealing the ecological orientation and ideology behind such metaphors and promoting the ecologization of language.Results show that(1)there are both similarities and differences in the types of conceptual metaphors in Chinese and American news discourses;(2)conceptual metaphors in both Chinese and American news discourses reflect the beneficial,ambivalent and destructive ecological orientation;and(3)conceptual metaphors in Chinese news discourses highlight the ecological view of“harmonious coexistence between man and nature”while those in American news discourses the ecological view of“America First”.The differences result from the disparity of economic and cultural factors,sociopolitical factors and ecological philosophy between the two countries.
