The Path to the “Five Unifications”:The Deepening of the People’s Democracy to the Development of Democracy in the Whole Process

对民主的追求,写入无产阶级政党的纲领,嵌入无产阶级政党的基因之中。中国共产党自成立之日起就把人民民主作为始终不渝的奋斗目标,并不断在实践中推进民主建设和民主发展,全过程人民民主重大理念的提出则是中国共产党在社会主义民主政治建设实践中深化对民主政治发展规律认识的重要成果。依托对马克思主义经典作家以及中国共产党关于社会主义民主政治建设重要论述的回顾梳理,从民主的内涵、形式、优势、评价、策略等维度分析全过程人民民主重大理念富有特色的理论创新与发展,进而揭示全过程人民民主注重本质与真谛相统一、广度与深度相统一、活力与能力相统一、过程与成果相统一以及自发与建构相统一的特点规律。

The pursuit of democracy is written into the program and embedded in the genes of proletarian parties. The Communist Party of China has taken people’s democracy as its unswerving goal since its establishment, and has continuously promoted the construction and development of democracy in practice. It is an important achievement in deepening the understanding of the law of democratic political development.Relying on the review of Marxist classic writers and the important expositions of the Communist Party of China on the construction of socialist democratic politics, this paper analyzes the theoretical innovation and development of the major ideas of people’s democracy in the whole process from the dimensions of democracy’s connotation, form, advantages, evaluation, and strategies. Then it reveals the characteristics and laws of the whole process of people’s democracy focusing on the unity of essence and true meaning, the unity of breadth and depth, the unity of vitality and ability, the unity of process and results, and the unity of spontaneity and construction.
