福尔摩斯侦探小说叙事技巧在清末民初的移植——以《霍桑探案》为例

The Transplantation of Narrative Skills of Sherlock Holmes’s Detective Novels in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China——Taking The Great Detective as an Example

清末民初,大量侦探小说被翻译到中国,其中以福尔摩斯侦探小说翻译数量最多,译介速度最快,影响范围最广。在其译介过程中,福尔摩斯侦探小说中崭新的叙事技巧逐渐被译者所接受并移植到本土文学创作中,涌现出大批原创侦探小说,其中又以程小青的《霍桑探案》最具代表性。福尔摩斯侦探小说的翻译不仅给清末民初的中国带来了全新叙事技巧,更是在推动中国小说现代化进程中发挥了举足轻重的作用。

A large number of detective novels were translated into China in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,among which Sherlock Holmes’ s detective novels have the largest number of translations,the fastest translation speed and the widest range of influence.In the process of its translation,the new narrative skills in Sherlock Holmes’ s detective novels have been gradually accepted by the translator and transplanted into the local literary creation,and a large number of original detective novels have emerged,among which Cheng Xiaoqing’s The Great Detective is the most representative.The translation of Sherlock Holmes’ detective novels not only brought new narrative skills to China in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,but also played an important role in promoting the modernization of Chinese novels.
