交往理性视域下中医药功效语的英译策略及对非遗术语翻译的启示

English Translation Strategies of TCM Efficacy Words from the Perspective of Communicative Rationality and Its Enlightenment to the Translation of Intangible Cultural Heritage Terms

传统医药功效语存在大量的文化负载词汇,在英译翻译实践上有过度归化或过度异化的倾向。该文基于交往理性,以传统医药说明书上的功效语为翻译研究对象,在翻译策略上将中医药的功能和主治部分进行区分,功能部分以异化策略为主,强调文化保真;主治部分以归化策略为主,侧重文本的可理解性。基于交往理性的传统功效语翻译策略对促进传统医药类非遗的外宣翻译和交流具有一定启示意义。

There are a large number of culture loaded words in traditional medical efficacy language,and there is a tendency of over domestication or over alienation in English translation practice.Based on communicative rationality,this paper takes the efficacy language of traditional medical instructions as the translation research object,and distinguishes the function of traditional Chinese medicine from the primary treatment in the translation strategy.The alienation strategy was used for the translation of functional part while emphasizing cultural fidelity.The domestication strategy was used for the translation of primary treatment while focusing on the comprehensibility of the text.The translation strategy of TCM efficacy language based on communicative rationality has certain enlightenment significance to promote the publicity translation and communication of traditional medical intangible cultural heritage.
